The time required for installing an EV charger can vary based on factors like the Charger Type, installation location, and complexity. On average, the installation process can span from 2 to 8 hours.

 

When the installation is in close proximity to an electrical supply, it generally takes less time, usually around 2 to 4 hours. This involves mounting the charger on an exterior wall, connecting it to the electrical supply, and conducting necessary tests.

 

On the other hand, if the installation site is farther from the electrical supply, additional tasks like trenching, cable laying, and distribution board installation or upgrades might be needed. These extra steps can extend the installation time to 8 hours or more.
